Job description
Perform all aspects of project management within the IT Security department, including scope and requirements documentation, WBS development, schedule, issue and risk management, all project coordination activities, resource management, and communications. Projects will occasionally expand outside of Information Services, requiring excellent customer interaction skills. Duties include project task tracking, project status communication, budget management and vendor relationship management. Assist in creating internal project management standards and best practices.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Gain understanding of customer IT environment, focusing on IT assets / applications / accounts critical to business operations.
2. Identify needs that can be successfully addressed by projects.
3. Pitch project ideas and secure approval before each project commences.
4. Develop new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including customers and staff.
5. Outline the human and material resources required to successfully complete each project.
6. Monitor staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines.
7. Evaluate each project’s effectiveness by consulting with clients, consumers, and staff.
8. Report on each project’s utility upon the uptake of outputs.
9. Consult with the Project Team Lead to seek guidance and input during the key phase of each project.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
1. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of previous Project Management experience within an IT organization.
2. Certifications in one or more of the following areas preferred: CISSP, CISA, CISM, GISO, GICSP, CIPP.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience working effectively across various levels.
4. Proven communication skills.
5. In-depth experience of data security frameworks and regulatory standards, including PCI, CIS, and ISO27001.
