Job Details

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Responsible for Inventory Management and Analysis
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Examine and review products and material to ensure quality upon receiving.
Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of material
Work with team members, supervisors, and general manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors
Responsible for completing spot checks in the yard to ensure accuracy of inventory checks, and physical counts performed by the yard foreman
Run inventory reports
Manage cycle counts with Warehouse team
Year End Inventory & Audit Support & Coordination
Responsible for Freight Management, costs/options, and managing third party carriers
Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office Products. Proficient with Excel
Minimum +5 years of experience in a purchasing management role
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Good communication skills; Attention to detail
