Our next Regional Procurement Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting of all raw materials including packaging, cultivation supplies, and ingredients for the Northeast region of TerrAscend (PA, NJ, and MD).
You will be challenged to work strategically and tactically to to ensure our procurement processes and initiatives are being met in conjunction with overall business goals.
One minute you will be negotiating terms with a new vendor and their pricing structure
The next minute creating a report on how efficient a particular procurement process is and analyzing results for recommendations to Procurement & Supply Chain leadership team and business stakeholders
And the next minute validating a demand signal with the Supply & Demand team
Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization.
Where you'll be planted:
This is a hybrid role with a heavy remote work component that may require minimal travel to locations within the Northeast Market. This role will primarily be work from home but candidates need to sit in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland to be considered.
To be blunt, this role is about:
- Reviewing and approving Procurement coordinators recommendations for orders.
- Creating analytical tools to improve our purchasing power.
- Creating Weekly, Monthly, KPI tracking.
- Becoming an SME for our purchasing systems (Epicor)
- Liaising and coordinating between all business functions: production, cultivation, warehousing, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, compliance, quality and legal.
- Creating and analyzing long term forecasting across all business units to drive purchasing power and use as negotiation tactic with vendors.
- Acting as vendor liaison for legal and quality contracts and developing and maintaining vendor scorecards for targeted business KPI’s.
- Maintaining and analyzing trend reporting and report out to management, consolidating state level reports to region-level.
- Working with Procurement coordinators to create consistencies and sustainability in reporting and process,
- Training and developing Procurement coordinators.
- Overseeing completion of weekly procurement tasks efficiently, effectively, and accurately
- Utilizing operations experience, strong leadership skills and a highly motivated character to establish efficient SOP’s.
- Leading and assisting with ongoing implementation of supply chain software (i.e. Seed to sale, ERP/MRP, B2B order/fulfillment)
- Collaborating as needed to drive optimal productivity; fostering an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
- Enhancing and maintaining positive communications with all cross-functional partners.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
- 4-6 years of supply chain experience
- Cannabis, Agriculture, CPG a plus but not required
- Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop team.
- Advanced Excel skills mandatory
- V-lookup, Pivot Tables, analysis of large datasets, data visualization in Excel
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of the role of supply chain within the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a digestible format across various modes (email, phone, video conferencing) and levels of the organization (front line production team as well as executive leadership)
- Proven skills in implementing and leading supply chain excellence.
- Strong understanding of technology, inventory software systems/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), state required compliance software, applicable metrics working within a data driven environment.
