The General Manager for National Anthem Restaurant and Restaurant In-Room Service is responsible for ensuring the proper training and supervision of all personnel. Ensuring service is delivered promptly and in a courteous manner complying with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-meal meeting conducted with service staff on a daily basis.
- Supervision of floor during peak periods of operation.
- Ensure that service personnel follow service scenarios/.
- Monitor timing of guest experience.
- Handle all complaints to the guests’ satisfaction.
- To maintain a consistently smooth-running operation.
- Insure service staff is on duty as scheduled.
- Forecast productivity weekly.
- Kitchen, stewarding and cashier staff on duty as needed.
- Side-stands fully stocked with equipment.
- All side-work complete and signed off on.
- Coffee, and roll warming equipment functioning.
- Insure station rotation in seating.
- Assist in seating or service of guests as necessary.
- Coordinate all functions in dining room during service.
- Monitor productivity of service, kitchen and stewarding staff.
- To monitor and critique the quality and consistency of the food product, in conjunction with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Chef.
- Special boards and/or descriptions posted accurately.
- Ensures that buffets are setup and maintained according to Omni SOP.
- Addresses revenue shortfalls effectively.
- Continuously check food quality and presentation coming from kitchen.
- Maintain food displays during service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food.
- To be familiar with clients so that there is constant recognition of all repeat guests.
- Reservations reviewed on daily basis.
- Reservations checked against the VIP list from the front desk.
- All special attention details handled properly.
- To maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Staff’s uniform and appearance meet specifications.
- Tabletops set to specifications.
- All menus inspected daily by hostess.
- During service, constantly inspect tabletops, side-stations and tray stands.
- All equipment in good condition and clean.
- All work areas maintained neat, orderly and clean.
- All lights and music adjusted appropriately for each meal period.
- To contribute to the profitability of the restaurant through cost control effectiveness.

- Implement sales promotions and merchandising programs.
- Be familiar with all beverage-related procedures and equipment and assist the cashier when needed.

- Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Know emergency procedures (including CPR) and work to prevent accidents.
- Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws. Specifically:
- Dramshop Theory – Prohibiting sale of liquor to intoxicated guests.
- Prohibiting sale of liquor to minors.
- Maintains current TIPS Certification and ensures all alcohol servers are certified.
- Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management.
- Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years Food & Beverage Management experience, preferably in a luxury 4 diamond hotel. When considering experience, managerial skills, leadership talents, administrative experience and a hospitality professional mindset will be considered.
- Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing in an upscale Food & Beverage environment; with strong front of the house experience.
- Developed proficiency with forecasting, cost controls and scheduling through related experience.
- Proven leadership skills which support an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
- Must be service and detail oriented; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency; to include Microsoft Office and Windows. Micros POS experience preferred. Experience managing payroll.
- The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
- Must have a TIPS or RASP Certification.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
