Duties and Responsibilities:*
*
Administer the sales process within a store through direct contact with customers, coordination with Outside Sales Reps, and coordination with Yard, Warehouse, Productions, and Delivery operations.*
- Greet and communicate with every customer in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate via phone and/or e-mail with customers and team
- Manage showroom and maintain current product displays. Communicate with vendors to obtain new and quality products.
- Communicate directly with customers, outside sales and home builders, applying product knowledge to assist in selecting the products that best fit their needs (quality & uses, material, pricing, etc.)
- Determine the fabrication specifications on special orders (i.e. entry systems, special doors, unique millwork patterns, stair parts, etc.) and perform or coordinate special order purchasing. Monitor through receipt of product.
- Develop quotes through entering estimated product list into computer with appropriate price level. Modify quotes as necessary and turn quotes into orders when and if appropriate.
- Process orders accurately and completely into point of sale system for ordering and scheduling accuracy
- Schedule building or production of orders with Store operations. Verify house readiness for product delivery and confirm with delivery operations and track ticket-flow
- Monitor inventory of assigned product line(s) and coordinate purchasing as appropriate and assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn product lines and residential construction practices and how they are used/relate to one another.
- Excellent communications skills and an ability to relate favorably with people.
- Must be able to adapt and improve
- Ability to plan and organize.
- Math skills sufficient to accurately add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate margin
- Organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects and sales processes
- Must be proficient in computer skills
- 2+ years of previous sales experience or equivalent
