Jackson Family Wines is hiring a seasonal Viticulturalist to assist in monitoring our Vineyards located in the Northern Willamette Valley. We are looking for a motivated team member who is eager to expand on their knowledge of viticulture. Position for Summer 2023.

Responsibilities:

• Field scouting and record keeping (phenology, pests, water status, nutrition, etc)
• Data collection for yield estimation
• Plant tissue and soil sampling
• Assist with technical support of routine vineyard activities (use of pressure chamber, etc)
• Assist collecting maturity samples
• Assist with data entry and analysis (Excel, Ag Code software)
• Assist with vineyard reporting

Requirements:

• Knowledge of viticulture and related areas including plant and vine physiology
• Completed or working towards degree in Viticulture or related field

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Computer skills, MS Office, and database applications
• Detail oriented
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions

Physical requirements and additional details:

• Able to work flexible and extended hours, which may include weekends
• This candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Extensive walking and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
