Shift Team Lead – West Dublin (1 Year Contract)

About Our Client

· Our client provides management and support services to programmes in the areas of Social Inclusion and Equality, Inclusive Employment and Enterprise, and Early Years and Young People.

· They were established in 1992, and now employ over 600 people across the island of Ireland.

· They are currently undertaking a large-scale operation to distribute incoming refugees to Ireland across the country to emergency accommodation. They are doing this through a Transit Hub based in West Dublin.

About Your New Job

· You will ensure adherence to DCEDIY protocols.

· You will supervise the work of the allocation teams, monitoring time and attendance, and ensuring breaks are taken.

· You will efficiently and effectively allocate suitable accommodation.

· You will liaise with the Arrivals and Dispersals Support Team and other DCEDIY colleagues.

· You will liaise with other government departments and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) as required.

· You will liaise with accommodation providers to confirm availability, manage bookings and respond to any questions.

· You will liaise with transport providers to facilitate transport to accommodation locations. Keep accurate records of all accommodation used, transport used, and numbers departing to accommodation and cohort remaining on site to include duration they have been onsite.

· You will respond to priority issues related to the allocation of accommodation that are raised by the teams or any other individual or group on site.

· You will assist DCEDIY colleagues in the management and transport of International Protection applicants when required.

The Transit Hub operates on a 24/7 basis. Staff will be required to work their contracted hours within a shift pattern basis, including Saturdays and Sundays where rostered. There are three shifts per day - 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am.

What Skills You Need

· You should have experience working in a similar large scale, busy operation. Hands-on experience is more important than facilities experience.

· You should be able to handle a busy, high-stress environment.

· You should have good verbal and written communication skills.

· This role may suit candidates coming from a logistics, operations, project coordinator, or project management background. Our client is open to all backgrounds.
