In this role, you will be working inside a thriving and growing manufacturing facility that designs, tests, produces, and ships Door Closers, Door Controls, and Electromechanical Door Controls used in Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Sports Arenas, Hotels, and large Institutional buildings. What you will be doing?

NOTE: All job openings are first posted within the facility to allow current employees to bid on new opportunities and to move to different shifts.

You will:

• Unload trucks safely and orderly; make sure all trucks are securely checked to the dock. Audit materials for accuracy.
• Responsible for verifying counts and marking packing list accordingly. Make manual packing list if needed. Responsible for the delivery of all information to the data entry and Q.C. inspection. Tag all material with the traveler.
• Responsible for the movement of material from the receiving area either to the stockroom or the work in progress area.
• Unload trucks in safe manner. Must use extreme caution and make sure material is unloaded in orderly fashion.
• Responsible for the movement of all early shipments from the receiving area to the shipping area for vendor return. Deliver non-productive material to the area or department that placed order.
• Responsible for the smooth movement of material from the packing line to the distribution warehouse or the customer in case of “B” orders.
• Move material from packing line, through tape machine, separate as warehouse item or “B” orders. Arrange material with like item numbers if warehouse, and same “B” order numbers if being shipped directly to customer. This includes overseas shipments that are to be placed in containers.
• Load trucks in an organized manner to ensure complete and orderly delivery to the customer. Responsible for shipping papers and documents for all shipments of material. This includes shipments by UPS, truck, air and container; prepare documents such as shipper’s bill, lading, UPS manifest, and air bills.
• Responsible for the accuracy of material loaded on trucks or other means of transportation, review papers for accuracy. Enter all information into the computer system to update records for either customer service or the MRP system.
• Responsible for the quantity and part number accuracy of product shipped to the customer; ensure that customer receives the proper material as marked on the boxes and cartons.
• Receive, verify and store material from any source into the stockroom. Responsible for accuracy of stockroom inventory.
• Responsible for picking material from pick sheets, shop orders or wireless devices; transfer material from stockroom to required department. Responsible for picking correct quantity and correct part numbers in a timely and efficient manner; orderly consolidate completed picks onto skids for transporting to the required department.
• Cycle count as directed by the supervisor; must have knowledge of mail system; responsible for appearance and organization of inventories in leased warehouse. Must have knowledge of cartons and masters stored at the warehouse; proper knowledge of how to load and stock material; the upkeep and safe use of all material handling machinery.
• Responsible for consignment inventory accuracy.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have a current forklift license and trained on Raymond standup and sit style lifts. Or be able to train and obtain forklift license within 30 days.
• Must be capable of entering data directly into the computer.
• Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Must be a team player in the cell group.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be quality conscious and have a commitment to details.

Also, we believe the ideal candidate has 3 years or more of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
