AMDEX is seeking a Sr. AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join its team, supporting a Federal government agency.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with software, systems and network engineers and operations for all matters related to the development and implementation of secure engineering processes and operations for cloud infrastructure for our Federal client.
• Apply an in-depth body of knowledge, experience, and expertise to work on complex to highly complex projects and identify current and future risks to the client’s cloud computing environments.
• Provide consistent and coordinated plans to address those risks by helping build, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve aspects of cloud security.

Qualifications:

• Seven years’ experience engineering, developing and deploying IT systems.
• At least three years’ experience as a Senior Engineer deploying, operating, or providing IT security engineering for systems deployed in AWS, or other comparable certification or experience, which must be approved in advance by the Government Program Manager on a case-by-case basis.
• At least one year experience using Python, Ruby, or Java to automate operations or security functions using a cloud SDK and AWS Lambda.
• At least two years’ experience using Chef, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or other tools to automate infrastructure deployments in AWS.
• Active AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevSecOps Engineer certification.

This position requires a current TS/SCI clearance.
