WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the Head of Payments & Commercial Technology, this role leads the Technology strategy and roadmap and enables the business to meet their strategic, tactical, and operational goals.

Responsible for fostering an environment of collabo ration and teamwork among various technology teams and the business units of Product, Operations and Digital functions to create an architectural blueprint and a roadmap to achieve it.

Designs, plans, and governs strategic and cross-organizational optimization of the company's systems, processes, or components to deliver an architecture that supports the most efficient and secure IT environment meeting the company's business needs. Works with stakeholders to build a holistic view of the company's IT strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. Ensures that the business and IT are in alignment by linking the business mission, strategy, and processes to IT strategy, and documents this using architectural models or views that show how the company's current and future IT needs will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.

Accountable for Technical Design and solutions for the Payments and Commercial eco-system: front end, product processing and vendor products. Covers roadmap including upgrades and enhancements. Lead the business side discussions at the Architecture Review Board, Executive Working Group and Information Security Risk Assessments.

Bring thought leadership for topics covering Solution, Business, Data, Infrastructure, Information Security architecture, both for the day to day and the strategic choices, including the choices around new technologies, incremental improvements or obsolescence.

Lead the IT Simplification with Innovation in Tools & Frameworks.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

Develops understanding of key strategies, business drivers, and business objectives in order to research technology landscape and recommends enhancements of technology solutions to all levels of the company.

Reviews existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve business processes, as well as support of all architectural disciplines under their direction.

Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solutions.

Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state (as defined in partnership with IT/Business leadership).

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of deep technical experience in software design, development, architecture, software engineering and application support functions.

Five years’ experience in leading a solution architecture or IT delivery function.

Two years’ experience in a Transformation program at regional, national or global Bank.

Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience of defining architecture and data management strategies to support the business' strategy.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and information security practices.
Knowledge of Architecture patterns and software engineering best practices.
Demonstrated applied knowledge of enterprise application delivery mechanisms and requirements.
Ability to influence and guide peers, subordinates and management.
Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with multiple levels of the organizational structure.

A desire to apply their development experience to a broader set of business, non-functional, and process-oriented concerns – and less from thinking in terms of code and classes
