Summary:
Responsible for the supervision of hourly employees, ensuring preparation and serving of cafeteria and patient foods is compliant with applicable sanitation, HACCP and personal hygiene guidelines. Overseeing established food production programs and procedure, along with sanitation activities, including supervision of equipment cleaning.
Major Duties:
Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Monitor employee productivity and supervises day to day activities of line employees to ensure timely completion of work assignments. Assigns responsibility and monitors specific work and/or cleaning detail. Prepares schedules for line employees. Responsible for covering positions in the event of call ins and/or during staff shortages. Assigns training schedules for all new employees and monitors training process. Disseminates and enforces hospital and department policies and safety guidelines. Resolves problems and/or issues that arise within the department and between coworkers. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Required: Must be able to read, write and perform simple math. High school diploma or GED with 5 years experience in food service with at least 3 years in cooking.
Preferred: One year supervisory experience.

Schedule: Full Time, Varied/Rotating, Monday - friday with rotating weekend and evenings
