Please note that we are looking to fill this position with a full time permanent contract.
Required skills:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a strong focus on maintaining delivery
  • Able to maintain and develop top-level, internal and external relationships
  • Experience gathering and analysing data from multiple sources
  • Experience and knowledge of emerging technologies such as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve problems at a management and technical level
  • Requires strong communications skills to deliver simple or complex information and understanding when each is where appropriate
  • 3-5 years leadership experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects
  • Experience in work with and managing off-shore vendors
  • IT degree or similar

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to lead improvement initiatives and projects
  • Sound understanding of the organization's business strategy and industry direction
  • Demonstrate strategic and tactical capability to have an impact on challenging teams balancing short-term results with a sustained push towards turnaround of medium to long-term team performance
  • Focused attitude to work, with the ability to constantly meet deadlines while ensuring excellent attention to detail & high levels of accuracy
  • Outstanding relationship builder with sound emotional intelligence and ability to work closely with non-financial management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include proven report writing & presentation skills
  • First class organisational skills and a willingness to apply direct effort to delve into detail
  • "Can-do" approach and thirst for driving continuous improvement
  • Drive and determination to deliver outstanding results
  • Experience using monitoring and alerting tools such as Cloudwatch, Nagios, Atlassian OpsGenie and Jira
  • Working knowledge of metrics gathering tools such as RTS, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Broad knowledge of the Airline Industry
  • Comfortable working with and managing change

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day performance of the team, people management, performance management, operational reporting and quality evaluation
  • Ensures that the team and all its members develop within and across various technical skills which will improve resource utilisation and remove reliance on individual experts
  • Will work co-operatively with other stakeholders within EI Tech to deliver the customer's business objectives
  • Ensure succession planning by developing talent and communicating knowledge
  • Interpret business requirements from a wider perspective and recommend/propose the most appropriate technical solutions in line with industry advances
  • Ensure plans for the team and technical projects are aligned with the business objectives within the other IE Tech initiatives
  • Establish and maintain a culture of review and continuous improvement in how we deliver services
  • Responsible for driving change within the department by examining processes within the team and across IT to ensure they are efficient and delivering satisfactorily to the other business units
