WEDDING & EVENT COORDINATOR

Monserate Winery is a new family winery that has a vision of delivering excellence and fun, with a focus on integrity and community. We are looking for an amazing team to grow with. A successful candidate has an incredible work ethic, is detail-oriented and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. An ideal candidate has event coordinating experience and is looking to build a career in events. The Event Coordinator is focused on client and inter-winery staff relationships while organizing and planning the event until it's successful completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have minimum of 1 years of wedding/private events experience.

2. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

3. Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Caterease experience desirable.

4. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays as required.

5. Excellent communications skills including written and verbal.

6. Outgoing, personable, friendly with the ability to speak in front of clients and guests with clarity and confidence.

7. Strong organizational, detail management and multi-tasking skills.

8. Experience selling weddings/private events, function space and food and beverage packages.

9. Demonstrate ability to achieve and exceed sales goals by effectively negotiating and closing business.

10. Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.

11. Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).

12. Is consistently striving to be better.

13. Courteous and has the ability to smile spontaneously.

14. Must maintain a professional hygiene and appearance that is consistent with company guidelines.

15. Possesses a “Can Do” attitude, and persevering work ethic.

16. Possesses skills in conflict resolution and demonstrates an ability to find resolutions.

17. Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

18. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

19. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather temperatures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with Monserate Winery policies and procedures.

1. Coordinate weddings and private events entailing but not limited to creating floorplans, BEOs, and coordinating with vendors.

2. Maintain well-organized and thorough event records.

3. Convert prospective clients into committed customers through on-site visits/meetings, proactive communication and excellent customer service.

4. Accepts and pursues private and wedding event requests and leads by responding to inquiries, providing proposals, additional information, scheduling site tours, cost estimations and executing contracts, as requested by Weddings and Events Manager

5. When needed, assists in the selling, planning and/or executing other associate’s groups as indicated by the Weddings and Events Manager.

6. Builds and maintains relationships in the wedding community by staying connected and attending industry events.

7. Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal departments and operations.

8. Committed to managing clients by providing the highest level of service and integrity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in typical conditions of a tasting room to include hard flooring with uneven ground. May occasionally be exposed to wet floors. On the grounds, may encounter walking on grass, dirt, debris, uneven ground, vineyards, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
