Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description: Bilingual Therapies iscurrently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district in Philadelphia, PA for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language disorders or delays
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding strategies for supporting students with speech and language needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student IEPs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment approaches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems is a plus
