Overview:
Aluminum Dynamics LLC., is seeking Cold Rolling Department Manager for our Starkville-Columbus Mississippi area green field state-of-the-art Aluminum Rolling Mill. The Cold Rolling Manager will initially lead departmental operational readiness, equipment commissioning, process start-up, and implement quality systems in support of internal and external customer qualifications for automotive, can stock and industrial products. This includes maintaining a safe work environment, quality, team development, throughput, maintenance, and budget goals. The Cold Rolling Manager will initially focus on putting in place all operational aspects necessary for a successful and on-time equipment start-up. This role will provide operational guidance for engineering and construction organizations ensuring alignment on equipment performance needs. Then manage production ramp-up requirements to achieve business plan.Responsibilities:

(SDI) announced its entry into the flat rolled aluminum market with a revolutionary 650,000 tonne per year facility in the Starkville, West Point and Columbus Mississippi Golden Triangle area. Aluminum Dynamics LLC. is SDI’s first aluminum facility that is planned to start up in 2025. - Establish product performance and validation criteria for equipment vendors.
- Monitor construction, provide feedback on work practices and construction quality.
- Manage commissioning and qualification schedule to meet ramp-up requirements.
- Determine workforce staffing, training and developmental needs.
- Champion environmental, health and safety systems and culture.
- Foster a team of technically competent and innovative individuals.
- Implement quality systems in support of internal and external customer requirements
- Drive process optimization and learning culture.
- Manage spending budgets, product cost controls.
- Communicate status updates with leadership, customers, equipment manufacturers, engineers, designers, construction, and all other key stake holders.
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-Year accredited institution or equivalent relevant on the job experience.
- Experience in Aluminum or Steel industrial molten metal environment preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing setting.
- Supervision experience leading and mentoring others.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and detail oriented.
- Ability to create an environment of teamwork on a cross functional basis.
- Experience managing and installation of capital projects.
- Strong teaming, written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
