Job description
We are looking for a Compliance Lead with at least three years prior experience working in health care compliance, with direct experience in HIPAA and consumer privacy laws. Reporting to our Senior Director of Compliance, the Compliance Lead will be responsible for assisting and participating in the implementation and operation of Aledade’s corporate and ACO compliance programs; with an emphasis on our Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial business . We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or from our HQ office in Bethesda, MD (post covid), primarily supporting east coast normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists in the development and execution of the organization’s annual Corporate and ACO Compliance work-plan(s)
  • Supports department initiatives to aid in the assessment and remediation of any Corporate and/or ACO Compliance issues
  • Facilitates the analysis of risk and execution of the annual audit plan
  • Helps evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal and operational controls designed to ensure that processes and practices lead to appropriate execution of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to corporate integrity and compliance
  • Minimizes organizational liabilities through the detection and communication of opportunities related to governmental rules and regulations
  • Effectively communicates compliance concerns to Compliance Team leadership and works under supervision to provide timely notification to business unit management of statutory, regulatory or policy changes
  • Assist with development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
  • Assist with compliance and privacy related investigations
  • Assist in the development and preparation of compliance related materials, including presentations, agendas, and meeting minutes
  • Support compliance communication efforts, such as newsletters and announcements
  • Carry out special projects related to compliance and privacy
  • Work collaboratively with other departments

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years prior experience with health care compliance and Privacy; fraud, waste and abuse is a plus
  • Strong written, communication, and research skills
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (preferred)
  • Interacts with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to work in a team environment while also delivering independent results
  • Demonstrated ability to work under competing deadlines and adjust responsibilities in response to recalibrated business needs
  • Ability to be flexible and scale with our extremely fast-paced, thriving startup environment
  • Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
