Instrument Processing Specialist

Contract: 3+ months

Number of Positions: 6

Hours: 2nd Shift (2:45p - 11:15p) | Full Time (40 hours per week)

Job Duties:

This position is responsible to ensure that all surgical instrument sets and equipment are properly maintained. Responsible for tracking lost and broken instrumentation and maintenance of digital records of instrumentation in SPM software. Performs weekly missing instrument audit reports. Ensures that these responsibilities are carried out according to established directions designated in procedure manual. Functions as a team member, supporting department activities providing for optimal instrument and equipment processing. Functions as a patient advocate. Responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical patient

Education / Experience:

• High school graduate or GED.
• Certified Central Service Technician certification (CRCST).
• 1+ year of experience.
