WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Be the North American functional leader of all the customer service employees located in Redwood City (US), Trenton (Canada), and Richmond (Canada). The customer service team leads orders, general inquiries, complaints and price quotes
  • Lead standardization of processes and procedures and provide an environment for continuous improvement
  • Follow-up and report on key performance metrics that follows and improves standard global metrics
  • Lead all aspects of management of the team to ensure:
  • Identifying people, processes, and technology capabilities required to deliver desired customer experiences in the market
  • Ensuring effective utilization of all resources- employees, equipment, and material within budget, cost, and quality standards
  • Providing an environment for successful continuous improvement processes including training and development plans
  • Recruit, hire, mentor staff, and manage performance
  • Maintain excellent communication with manufacturing and sales at all North American Thermal Management locations and interact as needed with other functional areas of the business
  • Work together with nVent Compliance to improve processes surrounding compliance requirements embedded in master data information.
YOU HAVE:
  • University degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years’ experience in customer service or sales support preferred with ability to travel up to 20%
  • 5+ years managerial experience, preference to candidates with leading multiple teams that are at a variety of locations preferred
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and MS Office
  • Skilled at effective communications at all levels. Ability to apply strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in conflict resolution including the ability to address differences of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
  • Ability to strive for results. Plan, coordinate and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively mentor, empower and develop staff growth and development.
  • Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, rationale, and diplomacy.
Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

This position is posted in multiple locations and as such, the expected job-based pay scale may vary based on the location per the table below.

Total Target Cash Range:
  • Geographic Region A: $98,700 - 183,300
  • Geographic Region B: $118,400 - 220,000
