General Description

Principal responsibility is establishing, fostering, and maintaining excellent relationships with Lease Sales Executives (LSEs), Dealers, ROs, and BDO. Responsible also for acting as liaison between the company and customers for sales of financing service. Handling lease contracts between consumer and LSE throughout Puerto Rico.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing the essential functions of an LSE by covering during LSE’s absence.
  • Complying with duty roster in the office, at dealerships, and in outdoor (“under the tent”) sales events; assisting dealers and providing service to achieve approval and purchase of contracts.
  • Maintaining an effective business relationship with all dealerships and LSEs.
  • Acting as the company’s liaison in handling lease contracts between the dealership and consumers.
  • Providing advice and guidance and giving constant, proactive attention to the needs of dealers and/or consumers, in addition to the LSEs the BDO is assisting.
  • Discussing with credit officers cases pending credit decision or those with changes in terms and conditions requested by the consumer, in order to complete purchase of the contract.
  • Assisting the LSE in completing the contracts by dealing with customers to ensure they provide the documents that may still be needed in order to complete the purchase of the contract.
  • Providing timely daily follow-up on applications received and approved and counteroffers, in order to maximize opportunities for closings and encourage actions aimed at securing financing with Popular Auto.
  • Acting as the dealership’s facilitator in processing leases in order to complete them and ensure rapid disbursement.
  • Interviewing customers in order to collect information relevant to the lease application and presenting changes and/or recommendations to the Credit Officer in support of a decision.
  • Keeping up-to-date documentation in the systems on follow-ups to applications, contracts received, and documents pending submittal by the dealership and/or the LSE in order to complete disbursement processes.
  • Keeping Management informed about any relevant issue or change the BDO encounters in his/her visits or that comes to his/her knowledge and may positively or negatively affect the company’s business.
  • Available to travel to routes from Guayama, Salinas, Coamo, Ponce, Barranquitas, as required.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experiencee

  • At least two years of experience working with equipment finance and leasing, required. General knowledge in Commercial and Individual Credit Policies, required. At least two years of experience interpreting credit reports or UCBs. Preferably experience in the Auto and Banking Industry; not a requirement.
